Re - Lux

The venetian blinds structure is already created during weaving. I prepare a double fabric, the surface of which is created with sharp changes. This way, the structure aids the formation of a plaited picture when pulled up, and makes the movement itself easier. The material folds on itself, creating interesting rhythms. The material collection is composed of hand-loom weaving materials, which have been designed in a way that the final fabric doesn’t require additional work, and has the structure of venetian blinds already when taken off the weaving loom. I wove two different fabrics at the same time and connected these at

pre-determined stages. The structure is fixed at these link-up points when pulled up.
